The workshop aims at to bring researchers, industrial stakeholders and interested community that are active in the area of technology enhanced professional learning together.
The workshop will be organized by the members of the European Project IP PROLIX (www.prolix-project.eu). PROLIX, which brings together 19 leading European organisations in TEL, coordinated by IMC Germany and providing LMS, LCMS and business intelligence tools aims to align learning with business processes, by bridging e-learning and Business Intelligence tools by means of shared standards and interfaces.
The PROLIX architecture is designed through a service oriented open framework named OBELIX (Open Business intelligence and e-learning interoperability and exchange framework) and implemented by means of the blending both vendor (eg learn exact LCMS by Giunti Labs and Clix LMS by IMC) and Open source components.
As a target outcome the PROLIX architecture will enable organisations to improve their employees’ competencies more quickly, as business requirements change. The goal is a minimum 20% reduction in the "time to competency" to be measured into workforces of the large organizations and multinationals engaged in the project.
