The focus of the General Online Research (GOR) is the discussion of basic research, innovative developments, and practical experiences in the field of online research. Online research covers a) all methods, instruments and theories that are dealing with the collection of data via online networks and b) effects of online applications and technologies on all levels of society. That involves mobile communication as well. The annual GOR conference involves research mainly within the social and behavioral sciences. GOR 10 supports the exchange of knowledge not only in an interdisciplinary way, but also between researchers and practitioners as well as between universities and companies.

Our auto observation tool for scientific communities contains at present 1594 projects, of which 238 are newsfeeds, 95 newsletters, 533 web sites, 74 mailinglists and 654 blogs. The number of caught entries totals 171841 for the feeds, of which 2223 were retrieved last week. For the newsletters totals 3988 entries, of which 13 were retrieved last week, for the mailinglists there are 111572 entries, of which 385 last week and for the blogs there are 254673 entries, of which 396 last week.
The feed project with the highest activity level last week was Handelsblatt.com, with 1062 entries, 19 less than the top-project of the week before - Handelsblatt.com. The top mailinglist project last week was LM_NET: Library media specialist information exchange, with 243 entries, 55 less than the top-project of the week before - LM_NET: Library media specialist information exchange. The top blog project last week was Read/WriteWeb, with 55 entries, 17 less than the top-project of the week before - Read/WriteWeb.
